CBS affiliate WUSA report that Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis announced the arrests of Ashley Jennifer White, 30, and Paul Thomas, 32, on Thursday.

Authorities have said Noah Thomas was watching cartoons around 8 a.m. March 22 when White went to take a nap with her 8-month-old daughter. When she awoke about 10:35 a.m., Noah was missing. His body was found four days later in the septic tank on the family's property in Dublin, in southwest Virginia.

The defendants each face two charges - one involving Noah and the other linked to the infant. They're being held without bond at New River Valley Regional Jail.

CBS affiliate WDBJ reports an arraignment in the case was scheduled for Friday.

According to WUSA, an autopsy is still pending in Noah's death.

The couple's infant was reportedly removed from the family's home by social services a day after the 5-year-old went missing.
