Liam Hemsworth says he's not engaged to Miley Cyrus

Pay no attention to the large diamond ring Miley Cyrus has been sporting, because Liam Hemsworth insists that their engagement is not back on, despite reports to the contrary.

Hemsworth and Cyrus are certainly back together, having reconciled just before the end of 2015, and they are living together -- but Hemsworth draws the line at talk of their wedding plans being resurrected.

"I am not engaged, no," Hemsworth told Australia's TV Week magazine.

In fact, Hemsworth says he's been avoiding most of the hubbub about his rekindled romance for the last few months -- though an injury from the set of "Independence Day: Resurgence" might have a lot to do with that.

"I just don't leave my home," he said. "For the last few months because I had a back injury, I really couldn't do much. So I have honestly been at my house most of the time. I did have a helicopter flying over my house for a while."

That probably had something to do with Cyrus being spotted driving a U-Haul truck full of her belongings to his house just after the New Year. The couple also attended the premiere for "The Huntsman: Winter's War" this week, but they did not walk the red carpet.
