The Republican field meets for its third debate Wednesday night, Oct. 28, in Boulder, Colorado.



Hosted by CNBC and and sanctioned by the Republican National Committee (RNC), the third GOP debate will be held at the Coors Events Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. CNBC's Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick and John Harwood will moderate. The focus of the business channel's debate will be the economy, jobs, and taxes.

As was the case in the prior two debates, the GOP field will be divided into two groups for two separate debates.

On the stage for the 8pm - 10pm ET top-tier debate: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee.

Trump and Carson get center stage for this debate, and on either side of them will be Rubio, Fiorina, Bush, Cruz, Christie, Huckabee, Kasich and Paul.

Debating in the earlier 6pm - 7pm ET time slot: Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal and George Pataki.

There's already been some controversy over the duration of the debate - Carson and Trump had threatened to back out if their conditions over opening and closing statements and the duration of the debate were not met.

And Tuesday night, irritation among some of the campaigns arose over the green rooms at the debate site. Top-tier candidates were assigned plush quarters, reported Politico. Trump was given a green room with a large flat screen TV and plush seating, according to Politico, while Chris Christie ended up with a restroom.
