Duchess Kate surprises U.S. women's gymnastics team with royal visit

(CBS News) The U.S. women's gymnastics team received a royal visit by none other than Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, over the weekend.

Although Kate has been cheering on Great Britain's teams, that didn't stop her from sharing her Olympic spirit with Team USA as well.

Kate met with gymasts Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross at the London Games, prompting a couple of the athletes to share their excitement on Twitter:

The girls, four members of the "Fab Five" gymnastics team, were cheering on fellow gymnast McKayla Maroney, who scored the silver medal during the vault finals on Sunday.
