BOSTON - A cousin of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to a criminal contempt of court charge.
Tanya Singleton appeared Monday in Suffolk Superior Court where a judge ordered her confined to her Bristol, Conn. home with GPS tracking. Singleton, who is being treated for breast cancer, is allowed to leave home for medical appointments.
Prosecutors say the SUV used in that shooting was stored at her home.
Hernandez, 24, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder in connection with the July 2012 shootings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
He has also pleaded not guilty in the 2013 murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
Singleton's attorney said his client's prosecution is "aggressive and unnecessary."
Singleton is due back in court July 15.
