Unusual July rain continues in DFW, saturating grounds and possible flooding

Spotty showers start the week in North Texas, then drying out and warming up

Our flood watch has wrapped up for North Texas, and showers are tapering for the evening.

However, as we head into Monday, we'll be looking at additional scattered showers and thunderstorm activity throughout the day.

As a result, we could see some very localized flooding in lower-lying spots, in areas of heavier storm activity on Monday, although it's not a day where everyone will see rain.

Fortunately, shower activity begins to taper off in the midweek. We're looking at just an isolated shower chance on Tuesday, followed by a drier pattern the rest of the week.

We heat up from there, too! Back to summer heat for North Texas, with highs in the middle 90s Wednesday, then the mid to upper 90s later this week.
