Warmer-than-average temperatures expected across North Texas this holiday week

First week of winter feels like spring before weekend cold front

Starting Monday and going through Saturday, the average high each day will be 79°. This is also the average temperature for the first day of May.

It will be very warm across the holiday; we are forecasting the third warmest Christmas on record

We'll likely tie or best a record high on Friday and Saturday before a cold front arrives. It'll bring some modest rain chances and cooler days. No significant storms are expected.

There is one day in the seven-day forecast that has a "typical" high, which is next Monday.  There are no freezes expected; the last one was more than a week ago. We've only had a total of four so far at DFW this season.
