Another record temperature day in DFW Saturday ahead of a cold front

Another record-breaking warm day in North Texas Saturday ahead of colder temperatures

It was another record warm day across DFW.

Both Saturday morning and afternoon tied the previous warmest record. The low was 62 degrees, tying the previous record set in 2021, and the high was 82 degrees, which tied the record set in 2005. So far this month, there have been four record-breaking high days.

The warm temperatures continue overnight into tomorrow. Another above-average day is on tap with a high in the upper 70s. The heat won't last for long; in the afternoon a cold front will swing through North Texas and drastically drop temperatures.

In addition to the cooler air, the winds will be gusty. Sunday will start breezy with winds from the south gusting up to 25 mph. By the afternoon, winds will shift from the north, gusting up to 50 mph at times. Now is the time to prepare and bring in any items that may be tossed around outside.

Cold air settles into the area Monday morning with lows in the thirties. However, with winds from the north gusting up to 30 mph, the windchill value, or feels-like temperature, will be in the 20s. Tuesday will be chilly as well. Bundle up!

Temperatures will be on the incline throughout the week. New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will have lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s.
