Spain's 70M euro "ghost highway"

The MP-203 highway, which was built to relieve traffic from the Barcelona highway, has remained unfinished for six years after an initial investment of 70 million euros between 2005 and 2007.

Despite the completion of around 70 percent of the 12.5 km project it was stopped after issues arose with the Madrid - Barcelona high-speed railway.
