Nobody's perfect, but Americans seem to have a love affair with trying to get that way, especially with the help of a doctor's knife. We wanted to find out what they were lifting, reducing, sucking out and filling in.
Luckily, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons was wondering the same thing. Here's their list of the 10 most popular cosmetic surgeries in 2010.
10. Ear surgery (Otoplasty)

29,828 ear surgeries were performed in 2010. That's up nine percent from 2009.
9. Forehead lift

42,433 forehead lifts were performed in 2010. There was no change in percentage from 2009.
8. Dermabrasion

68,636 dermabrasion procedures - the mechanical sanding away of the top layers of skin - were performed in 2010. That's up eight percent from 2009.
7. Breast lift (Mastopexy)

89,931 breast lifts were performed in 2010. Up 3% from 2009.
6. Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

112,955 facelifts were performed in 2010. That's up nine percent from 2009.
5. Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty)
