Fire at Bronx sewage treatment plant under investigation
NEW YORK - Flames could be seen coming from a Bronx sewage treatment plant early Thursday morning.
Officials say a fire inside a manhole was fed by gas.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at a facility in the Hunts Point section and was brought under control just before 5 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
