Woman crashes car into house, forgets all about it?

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Authorities say a woman crashed her car into a South Florida house and later said she couldn't find the vehicle.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles told the South Florida Sun Sentinel that the car slammed into the Lauderdale Lakes home early Thursday morning after failing to negotiate a curve in the road.

Jachles says the driver, 21-year-old Nicole Danielle Bailey, initially left the scene but then returned, wearing just a bra and pants, asking if anyone had seen her car.

"She was like, 'I've been looking for my car all day and I don't even know where my car is,'" neighbor Kimberly Auld told CBS Miami. "I' don't know how I ended up here.' So we're like, 'Your car is in my neighbor's house, like it's right there, how do you not know where your car is?'"

Auld said the driver also asked, "Where's my tab?"

"Maybe she thought she was still in a bar," Auld said.

Bailey's family told the station she was on her way home from work, as a server, when the accident happened. They believe she was disoriented from the crash and exploding airbag.

A man and a woman were asleep in the house when the crash occurred, and the woman sustained cuts to her leg.

"She said it was like an earthquake, that's what she said, the last thing she said to me is that she thought it was the end of the world for her," Yolette Lareus, the woman's sister, told CBS Miami.

Every room of the house was damaged except for a bathroom, the station reported. A building inspector said the crash knocked out two support beams and the home is unsafe to live in.

"I've been a building official for 20 years and I don't think I've seen one go that far into a house," said inspector Dean Decker.

The fire rescue spokesman said deputies found marijuana in the car's center console.

Bailey was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash. Bail was set at $1,000.
