On Monday, prosecutors told family members of Bulger's alleged murder victims that Greig will plead guilty to two charges in California and one in Massachusetts, reports CBS Boston.

Greig and Bulger, who headed the notorious Winter Hill Gang and was a FBI informant, were captured in June 2011 in Santa Monica, Calif., after 16 years on the run.

Steve Davis, brother of alleged Bulger victim Debra Davis, said Monday at he entered the courthouse that he wouldn't mind if Greig avoids trial by pleading guilty. He says it would save taxpayers money and the result would be the same as a guilty verdict.

Bulger is charged for his alleged role in 19 murders.
