(CBS News) CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano smelled smoke and then saw it pouring out of the empty house behind her while filming a live shot for superstorm Sandy coverage in Moonachie, N.J. The scene, broadcast on "CBS This Morning," quickly turned to a full-blown house fire. Firefighters arrived while the blaze raged on-air and and began pumping water into the home.
Quijano was there to report on the. The town's residents were surprised when a tidal surge caused the Hackensack River to overflow its banks and pour more than five feet of water into some areas.
