Two cases of amazing music mashups done right

(CBS News) While there was some great music featured in our holiday light show, I could use some more to get me going this week. So what do you say to a double dose of amazing music mashups done right? Yeah? Great! And I swear, sometimes it's crazy how much we think alike! Let's kick things off with this mega mix of pop songs from 2012 that will seriously astound you. And I'm not being hyperbolic at all with that statement: you really need to watch and listen to this one.

The spectacular mashup of over 50 songs from 2012 is entitled "Pop Danthology 2012" and was created by Daniel Kim, who has blown us away with his first entry on The Feed. I have a hunch we'll be seeing him again soon after watching and listening to this one. Amazing work, Daniel!

And one of our favorites and a regular here (who was featured again just last week), John D. Boswell (aka melodysheep), has created a wonderful new media-mixed-into-music tribute to LeVar Burton and the legendary learning show "Reading Rainbow" posted by PBS Digital Studios.

All in all, two cases of music mashups done so incredibly right. To check out more work from Daniel Kim, you can click here to go to his YouTube page. And for more music from John D. Boswell click here or for more from PBS Digital Studios click here.
