Toddler stabbed to death, mother wounded in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles police are searching for a man they say stabbed a woman and her 2-year-old daughter in their home, killing the little girl and critically wounding her mother.
Officer Liliana Preciado says officers responding to a call late Monday found both victims with multiple stab wounds on the floor of the home near downtown.
The toddler died at a hospital. Her mother remains hospitalized Tuesday in critical condition.
Preciado says the suspect is described as a man in his 20s.
Detectives have not determined a motive.
