TLC's "All-American Muslim" cancelled
(CBS News) "All-American Muslim," the documentary series about five Arab American Muslim families in Michigan, has been canceled after one season.
The show debuted well on TLC with 1.7 million viewers, but it gradually lost viewers over time ending with a total of 900,000 viewers for its Dec. 18 finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show attracted attention after the home improvement store chain Lowe's caved into pressure from conservative evangelical groups and pulled its advertising.
The Florida Family Association dubbed the show "propaganda clearly designed to counter legitimate and present-day concerns about many Muslims."
Many groups and celebrities Mia Farrow and Russell Simmons spoke out against the decision, boycotting the super store.
