"The Five-Year Engagement" to open Tribeca Film Festival
(CBS) This year's edition of the Tribeca Film Festival will kick off with a comedy.
The 11th annual festival will open on April 18 with "The Five-Year Engagement," it was announced Wednesday.
"The Five-Year Engagement" reunites Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, who worked together on "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "The Muppets." The pair co-wrote the film, which stars Segel and Emily Blunt as a perpetually-engaged couple.
Judd Apatow produced the project, along Rodney Rothman and Stoller (who also directs).
Rhys Ifans, Chris Pratt and Alison Brie also star in the film, which opens in theaters on April 27.
The 11th Annual Tribeca Film Festival runs through April 29.
