Texas youth minister arrested for alleged sex with girl, 16

BASTROP, Texas - Authorities have charged a Texas youth minister for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old girl.

The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Isahiah Arellano was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child this week.

Authorities said Arellano was a youth minister with the Faith Impact Fellowship in Bastrop County, east of Austin. They said a family member caught him having sex with the teen in April.

CBS affiliate KEYE reports the incident occurred at a family home that Arellano had moved into last year because he had no electricity in his trailer, according to the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office.

Arellano allegedly told authorities he only had sex with the teen once. The victim said it happened three times.

Authorities are working with the church pastor. No other cases have been reported.

It wasn't immediately clear if the suspect has an attorney.
