LOS ANGELES - A television producer was arrested and then released from custody Wednesday in connection with the death of her deaf, partially blind sister, authorities say, according to the L.A. Times.

Authorities were called to a home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Studio City around 12:40 p.m. Saturday and found the body of 48-year-old Wendy Blackstone in an enclosed garage where carbon monoxide had filled the room, Los Angeles police Lt. Bob Toledo told the paper.

A dead animal was also reportedly found in the garage.

The coroner's office tells the paper the 48-year-old's cause of death has not yet been determined.

According to TMZ, Blackstone was found holding a handwritten suicide note and police believe the note was written by her sister, Jill Blackstone.

Jill Blackstone, 52, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree murder but was released after the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office asked authorities to conduct further investigation.

According to her IMDB profile, Jill Blackstone worked as an executive producer on the TV series "Divorce Court," as well as the TV series "Family Court with Judge Penny," "Pat Croce Moving In," and "The Tony Danza Show." She also reportedly produced one episode of "The Jerry Springer Show" in 1993.
