Teen guilty in murder of newlywed soldier, pregnant wife

Colorado Springs, Colo.--A Colorado Springs teenager has been convicted in the January 2013 killing of a soldier and his pregnant wife, reports CBS Denver.

Macyo January, who was 17 years old when the victims were murdered, was tried as an adult and faces the possibility of life in prison.

It took jurors 4 hours on Tuesday to find January, now 18, guilty of killing newlyweds Staff Sgt. David Dunlap and his wife Whitney.

Prosecutors say January shot and killed the Dunlaps when they walked in on him while he was burglarizing their house.

The Dunlaps were expecting their first child and had only moved into their home a few months before they were killed. David Dunlap was a native of Moorpark, Calif., according to the Army.
