Stars remember country music giant George Jones
Stars in the music industry are expressing their condolences and sharing fond memories of country legend George Jones.
Jones died on Friday in Nashville, Tenn., at the age of 81. He had been hospitalized after suffering from irregular blood pressure and a fever.
His song from 1980, "He Stopped Loving Her Today," has become one of country music's most signature hits. Jones influenced several generations of performers and is considered by many in the industry to be one of the greatest.
"He had a voice that was the truth, raw and unfiltered," singer Kenny Chesney said of Jones. The two artists had previously worked together on "Small Y'all," a track on Chesney's 2010 album, "Hemingway's Whiskey."
