(CBS) Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are reportedly spending their honeymoon in the Seychelles - and, if so, they aren't the only high-profile Brits to have chosen the spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Former Beatle Paul McCartney took his second wife, Heather Mills, to the island chain in the Indian Ocean after their lavish 2002 wedding at a castle in Ireland.

The musician and Mills, a former model and anti-landmines campaigner, had a child, Beatrice, in 2003. They separated in May 2006 and battled bitterly during divorce proceedings. Their divorce was finalized in 2008.

Just this week, McCartney announced that he has proposed to Nancy Shevell, a New York transportation executive whom he has been dating since late 2007. No wedding date was announced.

Former Beatle George Harrison and British actor Peter Sellers once owned an estate on the Seychelles, Mahe, but the government seized the land in the 1970s. In recent years, British Prime Minister Tony Blair has visited the Seychelles twice with his family and stayed on the island of La Digue.
