Second Cup Café: Danielle Evin

Singer-songwriter Danielle Evin visits Second Cup Café to play songs from her self-titled debut album.

Evin grew up in New York and Los Angeles, where her parents' careers in the arts created an environment filled with music, art, theater and film.

At the age of 8, Evin began to play piano; at 12, she learned to play the violin.

It was when she was 14 that Evin picked up the guitar and became inspired to write songs.

"Writing songs helps me articulate what's going on inside my head," Danielle says in her official biography. "I communicate better in my songs than at a dinner party."

Evin has performed at Farm Aid 2006, and has been touring the U.S. in support of her new album.
