Holly Whitfield, 22, was charged with sexual assault, aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent acts and sodomy, say authorities. The alleged victim is a 15-year-old at River Quest School in Burke County, a school for students with behavioral and emotional problems.

Whitfield reportedly taught at the school for three years as a certified paraprofessional prior to her arrest.

Whitfield was relieved of her duties Wednesday afternoon after school officials discovered the alleged sexual relationship, Gene Sullivan, the Executive Director of the area's Regional Educational Service Agency, told CBS affiliate WRDW.

Sullivan said RESA has contacted the Professional Standards Commission, which will likely follow up on the case.

Authorities from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation say additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
