GAINESVILLE, Fla. (CBS/AP) Police say they have found the car of Saleha Hudda, a 21-year-old University of Florida cheerleader whose body was found last week by firefighters responding to a brush fire.

Police said a caller notified them about a car that had been sitting idle for several days just north of Gainesville Raceway. Inside the vehicle, on a seat, authorities discovered a purse that belonged to Hudda, whose severely burned body was found Dec. 30,  14 miles from her car, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Hudda was a senior competitive club cheerleader, majoring in family, youth and community sciences.

Authorities said they are waiting for a medical examiner's report before deciding whether to rule Hudda's death a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
