Four people were injured when a double-decker bus in central London had its roof torn off after hitting some trees, local media reported Monday.
Several witnesses tweeted photos of the bus after the incident:
Authorities said two people were hospitalized with injuries to their faces and two others were treated for minor injuries, BBC News reported. According to the Telegraph, three of the injured were bus passengers and one was a motorist.
The Telegraph quoted London Fire Brigade station manager Gary Squires as saying: "Those involved were very lucky to escape serious injury."
The incident occurred in Holborn near the London School of Economics, BBC News reported.
