Randy Travis seen getting arrested in new video footage

(CBS) Randy Travis was thrown in jail earlier this month on a public intoxication charge, and now video footage of his arrest is making the rounds online.

KCENTV.com obtained dashboard camera footage, which shows police questioning Travis while he's sitting in a parked outside a Baptist church in Sanger, Texas.

Police asked Travis if he had been drinking.

"Yes, sir, I have," Travis responded. "But I am not driving, as you can see."

After a cop told the country singer, "Here's what's going to happen tonight ... You're going to go to jail for public intoxication," Travis said, "Really? Are you kidding me?"

Police brought Travis to the county jail and released him about four hours later on a Class C misdemeanor citation.

He released a statement explaining, "I apologize for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl. I'm committed to being responsible and accountable, and apologize for my actions."
