Porno in the Classroom: Tape Mix-Up Turns Treaty of Versailles Titillating
Instead of going straight to a History Channel program on the 1919 Treaty of Versailles, the tape flashed a few seconds of explicit sex. The program, which had previously been shown at least twice in the classroom without incident, had apparently been recorded over a porn tape.
The substitute teacher told school officials he was shocked by the pornography, and that he had received the tape from a friend.
Several parents in the town, located in the rural, southwest corner of New Mexico, spoke at a school board meeting last Thursday. One said the videotape "was not acceptable by community standards."
The school superintendent apologized to parents, but would not reveal if any action has been taken against the teacher.
