Pilots Land On Busy Fla. Roadway

An amazing story and it's all caught on tape.

Two men are lucky to be alive after an engine failed in the plane they were flying, forcign them to make an emergency landing on a busy Florida roadway.

Amazingly, they walked away without a scratch.

The two licensed pilots, Kyle Davis and Joe Surowiec, shared their incredible experience with Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith.

Davis and Surowiec were in a two-seater home-built airplane called a Sky Ranger, making a 15-mile flight from Winter Haven to Lakeland, Fla.

"My day is about to change dramatically," Davis recalled thinking at the time.

Re-cranking the engine didn't work, so their only other choice was to land on a busy three-lane boulevard.
