Ohio Woman Who Posed as a Teenage Boy to "Get Girl," Gets Charged

Patricia Dye (WKRC) (WKRC)

LEBANON, Ohio (CBS/AP/WKRC)A Warren County grand jury has determined that the 31-year-old Ohio woman who posed as a teenage boy to have sex with a 16-year-old girl will face sex charges, but no felony counts.

Patricia Dye was charged with sexual imposition, attempted sexual imposition, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The court case goes to a juvenile court because of the age of the victim, reports CBS affiliate WKRC.

The Franklin woman was arrested June 30 after Dye's 16-year-old "girlfriend" fled from a hotel room the two were sharing. The teen discovered Dye's true gender and police began an investigation.

The 31-year-old admitted to posing as a boy upon arrest, say police.

Dye, who's about 4 feet 11 inches tall, went by the alias "Matt Abrams" and masked her gender by wearing male clothing and cutting her hair in a short androgynous style.

She remains in jail under a $100,000 bond and could get up to nine months in prison if convicted.
