NYPD: Uncle is suspect in fatal shooting of pregnant woman

NEW YORK - Police on Thursday said the uncle of a 27-year-old pregnant woman who was fatally shot in New York City Wednesday is the primary suspect in the case, reports CBS New York.

The NYPD says Anastasia Massey was shot in the hallway of her Queens apartment building Wednesday morning after returning from dropping her children off at school.

Massey, who was about six months pregnant, died at a hospital. Official say the baby girl was born alive but later died.

The suspect, who police declined to name, remained at large late Thursday, according to the station.
