A different breed of dog is offering allergy sufferers the joy of knowing that special bond that develops between a human being and a pet.

It's easy to see why this dog is called the "American Hairless Terrier." The breed is the newest one recognized by the United Kennel Club...and animal lovers with allergies say they really are man's best friend...because they almost never cause allergic reactions.

The dogs are extremly rare...less than 100 exist...but one of the largest breeders is in Pompano Beach, Florida.

The video, which is silent, (no the dogs aren't mute) shows various shots of this new breed, with the help of WFOR-TV.
