The 27-year-old driver told police Campbell hit him from the back of the seat in a black Cadillac Escalade, causing him to strike the steering wheel, resulting in a bruise under his eye. Police issued a harassment report with the Manhattan district attorney's office, but it won't carry any penalty. Officials said no arrests were anticipated.

The model has not spoken with police, but her assistant went to the station house to report that she would cooperate with officials. "Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to the story than meets the eye," said her spokesperson Jeff Raymond.

Campbell was headed from a Manhattan hotel to Astoria Studio in Queens when the driver pulled over in midtown Manhattan to report the alleged assault. The driver decided not pursue the matter criminally, however, it's unclear if he will pursue it in civil court.

The feisty model has had previous run-ins with the law. She's faced a series of lawsuits and criminal cases accusing her of attacking former employees and police officers. She previously pleaded guilty to cursing, kicking and spitting at police in a rage over a missing piece of luggage, and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
