Naked Idaho man fleeing cops has run-in with barbed wire

(CBS/AP/KBOI) BOISE, Idaho. - A naked Idaho man got himself into a prickly situation Saturday, after allegedly getting tangled in a barbed wire fence while trying to flee police.

CBS affiliate KBOI reports that Boise police say they first spotted 23-year-old Grant Gardner as he ran, nude, past their squad car. Authorities say he was running naked through a park early Saturday morning around 5 a.m.

Law enforcement officials say Gardner ran from police and ended up snarled In the barbed wire fence. He punched an officer in the face, cops say. After a struggle, he was taken into custody. 

Garder now faces a number of charges, including a felony charge of battery on an officer, resisting, obstructing, and public nudity.

Police believe the suspect was under the influence of intoxicating substances, and will also be charged with public intoxication.
