(CBS) MIAMI - A high-speed police chase came to end with a deadly crash and a police standoff in Miami Wednesday morning, reports CBS Miami. The suspect who led police on the chase  reportedly then killed himself inside his vehicle.

Police responded initially around 9:45 a.m. to a report of two women who were shot at during a domestic dispute in southwest Miami, reports the station. At least four gunshots were fired in the home, police said. The injured women were reportedly air-lifted to the hospital.

The relationship between the men and the women wasn't immediately clear.

The suspect reportedly fed in a black Mercedes-Benz Crossover, dodging traffic and heading north before T-boning a car crossing an intersection. The crash killed a person in the car, reports the station.

Police reportedly dove from gunfire as they approached the suspect's SUV. The car's tinted windows made it difficult for officers to see inside.

SWAT team members in tactical gear arrived in armored vehicles and took positions around the SUV, reports the station. Around 11 a.m., the team opened the driver's side door and found the body of the suspect, who had reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
