Man charged with rape of teen girl at Massachusetts cemetery

HYANNIS, Mass. -- A Massachusetts man has been charged with raping a 14-year-old girl at cemetery, reports CBS Boston.

The girl's mother called police in Hyannis, Mass. around 8 p.m. on June 24 after finding the girl's bicycle on the side of a road. Moments after police arrived on the scene, the girl came walking down the road and told police she had been raped.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she told detectives that she and 24-year-old Bruce Henrique had been chatting for weeks on the social media sites Facebook and SnapChat. June 24 was the first time they met in-person, she said.

The victim said Henrique picked her up in his SUV and drove her to nearby Oak Grove Cemetery in Hyannis, where he allegedly raped her.

She said he then drove her back to the area where her bike had been left.

Investigators say they found evidence that the girl had told Henrique multiple times that she was only 14 years old. He sent her nude photos of himself in a state of arousal, according to police.

Henrique was arrested near his home in Barnstable, Mass., on June 25.

With help from Eastham police, Barnstable police arrested Henrique near his home on Thursday evening.

He has been charged with three counts of rape of a child under 16, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years or over, and single counts of enticing a child under 16 and dissemination of obscene material to a minor.
