Man accused of posing as airport security, groping women

SAN FRANCISCO - Authorities said a California man who works as an investment banker is suspected of posing as a security screener at San Francisco International Airport and giving two women private pat downs, reports CBS San Francisco.

Eric Slighton, 53, who has addresses in San Francisco and Hong Kong, has reportedly worked for several prominent banks and equity firms throughout Asia.

A source tells the station that Slighton, who was a ticketed passenger waiting for a flight to Hong Kong on July 15, may have had too many drinks at an airport lounge.

Slighton is suspected of luring a foreign female passenger into a private screening area after she had already been screened. According to authorities, he is believed to have tried to do the same thing a second time, with another woman, when was intercepted by airport security agents who detained him.

Authorities said Slighton was wearing a blue polo shirt, khakis and may have swiped gloves to look like a Transportation Security Administration agent.

"TSA is aware of the alleged incident and is cooperating with law enforcement," a statement from the agency said Thursday.

Slighton faces a public drunkenness charge and could face additional charges. He is currently free on $10,000 bail, reports the station.
