California student accused of filming female students in shower

LOS ANGELES -- Police say that for more than a month, more than a dozen female students at the University of California, Riverside were filmed while they showered in their dorm, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Campus police say 19-year-old Justin Suh placed a pen equipped with a camera in a vent near a dorm shower at the West Lothian Residence Hall. The search warrant also alleges that the student made 20 videos -- each up to ten minutes long, according to the station.

One of the women saw the camera in the vent and reported it, police say.

After allegedly uploading the videos to his tablet computer, Suh allegedly labeled the videos with the names and dorm rooms of the alleged victims, according to a police warrant.

Police say the suspect initially denied the accusations, but later confessed.

"When [the officer] told Suh that he had to know why he was at the station and to tell him about the incident, Suh said 'I was just being a pervert,'" according to the search warrant.

Police say Suh also confessed to painting over the camera in order to hide it.

Suh was arrested on suspicion of invasion of privacy, a misdemeanor, according to the station.

Prosecutors have not yet received the case, but could choose to bring additional charges later.
