Living to 100 can be done, cancer expert says

Many people dream of living long, healthy lives that end peacefully around the age of 100.

Dr. David Agus, cancer expert and author of the New York Times best-seller "The End of Illness," says it can be done.

Agus said on "CBS This Morning" that his medical philosophy is all about prevention.

"I'm a cancer doctor," he said. "I see every week people dying of cancer. And I can't stand it. We need to focus on prevention. We have the tools in our arsenal; We can actually prevent most disease. We just got to use them."

Agus suggests regularity of schedule, statins to prevent inflammation and avoiding vitamins, supplements -- and high heels. Watch the video in the player above for the Agus' full discussion on "CBS This Morning" with Gayle King and Charlie Rose.
