Let's all take a vicarious vacation to Japan (for 3 minutes)
(CBS News) With so much focus on the United States these past two weeks in light of Hurricane Sandy, a presidential election and more, I'd say it's about time we took a vacation. And while I can't afford to send you all to someplace exotic (or even myself for that matter), the Internet does afford me the opportunity to offer you a vicarious vacation. Go ahead and take in some of the sights and sounds of Japan through the lens of this 3-minute video above. And don't forget your passport.
The video entitled "From Japan with Love (and Dashi)" was posted by Vimeo user The Perennial Plate, who have previously given us a tour of Vietnam, and who write about their latest trip:
A really vibrant, relaxing and colorful view of the country across the Pacific Ocean from those of us here in the United States that makes me wish I could experience it for myself. This short film combines two weeks of eating and traveling in Japan into three minutes. Enjoy!
