Justin Bieber to duet with Mariah Carey on Christmas album

(CBS) Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey are teaming up this holiday season.

The two have recorded a duet for Bieber's upcoming Christmas album, "Under the Mistletoe." The song? A new version of Carey's holiday hit "All I Want for Christmas is You."

Bieber shared the news with fans by posting a video on his Twitter account. In it, Carey says she's "very excited" about the collaboration.

"I think a lot of you are already very surprised by this," she adds. "And you're going to be even more surprised when you hear it."

The album will be released Nov. 1. The first single, "Mistletoe," will be released on Oct. 18.
