"Justified" to end after season 6, FX reveals

It's official -- "Justified" will be coming to an end next year.

The Emmy-winning series will conclude after its sixth season, FX president of programming John Landgraf confirmed at the 2014 Winter TCA tour on Tuesday.

"It was [executive producer] Graham Yost and Timothy Olyphant's decision," Landgraf told reporters, according to E! News. "I would have liked to have had more 'Justified,' it's one of my favorite shows."

Based on the Elmore Leonard novella "Fire in the Hole," Olyphant stars in the series as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, determined to protect his Kentucky hometown.

Since its 2010 debut, the series has been a hit with critics and viewers. Actors Margo Martindale and Jeremy Davies have both won Emmy Awards for their performances on the series.

Now in its fifth season, "Justified" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
