Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel among Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2012

(CBS) Congratulations, Jennifer Aniston! You're getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for "The Good Girl," He's Just Not That Into You" and "The Break-Up." You're not getting one for "Friends."

That's OK, right? A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is important. It means you've made some meaningful contribution to the entertainment business.

Some of the stars getting stars for their work in movies are Vin Diesel, Scarlett Johansson, John Lasseter (from Pixar), Kate Winslet and Richard Burton.

Stars getting stars for TV work are: Matt Groening ("The Simpsons"), Mariska Hargitay, Patricia Heaton, Walter Koenig ("Star Trek") and Adam West ("Batman" and "Family Guy").

In music, Boyz II Men will get a star, as will producer David Foster, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart and Jennifer Lopez.

The Walk of Fame website states recipients have five years to schedule a ceremony from the time each person is given a star.

Pepe Aguilar, AMERICA, Boyz II Men, Hal David, David Foster, Vince Gill, Jennifer Lopez, Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) and Barry White (posthumous)
