Iraqi Insurgent Group Claims Downing U.S. Helicopters

The Iraqi insurgent group al Naqshabandiyah Army claimed responsibility for downing two U.S. helicopters on the night of Jan. 25.

The group also claimed that more than 20 soldiers were killed during this attack and that a video showing the entire operation would be released in the near future.

"We bring you the good tidings that we shot down two U.S. helicopters during a night ambush by our anti-aircraft resistance unit. The two Blackhawks have been shot down on Sunday evening at 10.30pm in Hawijah," said the Internet statement.
