(CBS/AP) BOISE, Idaho- An undercover video shot by an animal rights group showing workers stomping , dragging and beating cows inside of a milking barn at Idaho's largest dairy operation has led three former dairy workers to be charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.

The video, shot using a hidden camera by a member of Mercy for Animals, shows workers beating cows with a cane, kicking and stomping on fallen cows, and a cow dragged by a chain around her nack inside of Bettencourt Dairies' Dry Creek Dairy in Hansen, Idaho.

Luis Bettencourt, the dairy owner, says that he is sickened by the video and has since fired the workers involved. Additionally, he has hired a supervisor and installed cameras in his milking barns.

Nathan Runkle of Mercy for Animals says the group hopes Kraft Foods will stop using milk from Bettencourt Dairies.
