Heidi Klum had lice a few days ago
Even celebrities aren't immune from lice.
Supermodel Heidi Klum revealed on "The Ellen Show" that she had the creepy crawlies in her hair -- a gift from her children with musician Seal.
On Wednesday, she told Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm actually lice-free now as of a few days ago."
Klum explained that her daughter was the first to get lice in her home.
"My daughter was itching and then she had to go to the nurse and then they looked and sure enough they found a little egg, and I mean they're beyond small, so we had the lice fairies come over to our house," she said.
What are "lice fairies"?
"There are these fairies that come to the house and brush you for hours and get all of these lice out of your hair," she said. "They're fairies. You do get a certificate from the lice fairies when you go to the school because the school wants to know."
DeGeneres, aghast, asked the mother of four if she bathes.
"Yeah, of course we do!" answered the former host of "Project Runway." Come on, Ellen, we all learned in school that lice are not indicative of poor hygiene.
Nonetheless, we hope we never get a knock on the door from the lice fairies.
