Like winter, second "Game of Thrones" mixtape is coming

HBO says it's releasing a follow-up to last year's "Game of Thrones" mixtape, featuring new music from artists inspired by the hit series.

"Catch The Throne: The Mixtape Vol. 2" has a lineup that includes Snoop Dogg, Method Mann, Yandel and metal bands Anthrax and Killswitch Engage. The 15 tracks all sample music from the "Game of Thrones" season 4 soundtrack, and weave in the overarching theme of fire and ice.

"It's like the rap game, it's gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top," Snoop Dogg said in a press release. "I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it."

The first "Catch the Throne" installment featured songs from Common, Daddy Yankee, Wale and Big Boi, who rapped about Daenerys Targaryen on a song called "Mother of Dragons."

The new mixtape will be released next month, free of charge. The fifth season of "Game of Thrones" premieres April 12 on HBO.
