Golden Globes fashion hits and misses

The stars of TV and film hit the chilly red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday wearing some of fashion's hottest designers, but, like any award show red carpet, some celebrities outshined the others.

Here's some of the some of the stars who got it right on the red carpet:

-Amy Adams went for old Hollywood glamour in a skin-toned Marchesa gown that flattered "The Master" star's body, with a fish-tail silhouette.

-Naomi Watts stunned the crowd in the season's hottest color "oxblood,"wearing a demure long-sleeved Zac Posen gown with a sexy cutout in the back.

-Taylor Swift channeled her inner Hollywood starlet wearing a deep plum Donna Karan Atelier gown with a square neck.

-"Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery wore a stunning gold and white gown by Paris-based designer Alexandres Vautheir, showing off her sleek physique.

-Isla Fisher literally sparkled on the red carpet wearing an embellished nude gown by Reem Acra.

Here's a list of some who didn't fair as well:

-Jessica Chastain missed the mark (a rare occurrence for the actress) in her seafoam Calvin Klein gown. While the dresses color is on point, the baggy halter top silhouette didn't flatter the "Zero Dark Thirty" star.

-Halle Berry went for the Angelina Jolie thigh-high slit, but her one-shouldered printed Versace gown already had too much going on.

-Julie Bowen's Monique Lhullier one-shouldered gown did not flatter the star with its excess fabric and draping.

-The gold embellished neckline of Kate Hudson's Alexander McQueen gown along with the keyhole bodice did not work well together.

-Lucy Liu 's Carolina Herrera gown was a little too much with the full-skirt and the floral print.
