After much anticipation, "Girl Meet World" is almost here.

The long-awaited spinoff series will make its debut June 27 at 9:45 p.m. ET on The Disney Channel, the network revealed Friday.

Set in New York City, "Girl Meets World" picks up 14 years since the 1990s hit family sitcom "Boys Meet World" went off the airwaves.

Original series cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are returning as husband-and-wife Cory and Topanga Matthews, with the focus now placed on their daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard), as she enters the 7th grade.

Riley has to deal with a new school, new peers and a new teacher -- who happens to be her father.
